Course Details

Pre-Requisites and Entry requirements

There are no specific entry requirements or training prerequisites to enrol in the CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations course. The main restriction is that participants must be eligible to apply for and obtain a security licence. This means that the student cannot have disqualifying offence reconded against them as a conviction.

Minimum Age:

Participants in the CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations course must be a minimum of 18 years old.

Language, Learning & Numeracy

To undertake CPP20218 training, students will need literacy and numeracy skills of a sufficient level to be employed in a private security role. During your pre-training review, you’ll be given a language, learning & numeracy assessment to determine your current skill level in these areas and see if the training is appropriate for you.

Physical requirements:

To work in security requires a certain degree of physical ability, and this requirement is also true of the CPP20218 training. Students should have a reasonable level of physical fitness and be able to stay on their feet for prolonged periods – sometimes hours at a time. They also need to be able to respond swiftly to visual and sound cues, and perform a range of physical tasks throughout the day.
